Instagram Edits

So this is by far my favorite pastime when i'm not busy taking some photographs.

I had just finished my whole mashing together random anime clips to nightcore (sped up music) and uploading them to YouTube phase (Summer 2018) when I was randomly scrolling through Instagram at the time and saw this creator make an aesthetic edit. I thought it was the coolest thing, they would take random aesthetic clips and sync it to the beats of whatever song they chose in the background. It was almost just like my YouTube channel but through Instagram I could reach a larger audience and really let my experience and creativity shine through every edit I had ever made and that was so cool to me.

It definitely was not easy at all. I was learning everything as I went along and it did take me a bit. I used to only repost edits I had found that I really really enjoyed then eventually I realized that wasn't okay so I swapped to making my own.

since then I had met so many people, including a now ex-girlfriend who was also an editor and had helped pushed my edits to the limit. In the short video I have attached, I actually included a collaboration edit the 2 of us had made together. Alexandria if you see this, thank you.

I really feel like edits like these are more then just edits, it's the same with any type of artwork. I try to make the viewer not only see but really think about the edit on a deeper scale. There's so much more to art then just "oh it's art". You have to allow the media you consume to evoke some sort of emotion out of you and that's what I really strived to do in these few edits I had hand selected out of many, yes, many more. I really tried to incorporate my own feelings into these as well, so this way the viewer can try to feel what I felt editing and making these.

So please if you take anything away from me, it's to be open-minded when it comes to any form of art and appreciate all the hard work that goes through to make it all happen. Thank you and I hope you enjoy

p.s: for the best viewing experience please have your volume up and make sure the quality is set to 2160p :) and i realized i forgot to take out the watermark at the end don't mind it
